Asset - An asset is an object which can be anything from a permanent piece of equipment to inexpensive items ("supplies") such as cleaning supplies or repair parts. The Assets Section aids you in keeping an inventory for all assets and supplies, it allows you to perform a mass update on an asset feature, and you can add and keep track of maintenance contracts for assets.

Functional Area - The basic functional processes facilitated in FacilityFit.

Inspection - The system helps you improve your service, identify bottlenecks and problems, and it provides a documented record to track your progress through a series of Inspection Section modules - the Inspection Templates, Inspection Link Groups, Inspection Generation, Inspection Scoring, and Inspection History. The Inspection Section was designed to help the facility manager better manage the facility by:

  • Providing standard inspection procedures.
  • Generating inspection schedules for your facilities.
  • Allowing comparison between ARAMARK facilities.

The Inspection Section modules are sometimes used in conjunction with modules from other areas of FaciliyFit. The Inspection Template receives information from the Space Type and Work Request modules, while the Inspection Scoring module receives information from the Space Type module. Refer to the Group Flow diagram below to get a high level view of this process.

Inspection Template - The information necessary to create a new Inspection. This includes the attributes and questions to be checked and the type of work to be inspected.

Landing Page - Like a "Home" page, the central reference page that enables access to all Functional Areas of FacilityFit.

Schedule - A Housekeeping Schedule contains all of the tasks that need to be done in order to properly clean the spaces in a Campus

Space - You will use the Space module for the following purposes

  • To setup and modify spaces in your facility.
  • To add and modify the contents of spaces (such as chairs and square feet).
  • To add and modify housekeeping tasks of spaces.
  • To add and modify housekeeping schedules.
  • To generate housekeeping work request projects.

Every facility will need to add their list of spaces and keep them up-to-date. Housekeeping facilities will also need to add contents, tasks, and cleaning schedules. But be sure to add tasks to your spaces before using the Scheduling module.

Work Request - Work Requests are orders to your technicians and service people to do work for a client, or to provide service to an item of equipment, or to a space. There are three main types of Work Requests: Corrective Maintenance for unscheduled repairs, Preventive Maintenance for scheduled service to an asset, and Project for scheduled service to a space. Most of the functions in the Work area have to do with creating, assigning, scheduling, printing, and tracking Work Requests.
